Hello, I just wanted to inquire to see if there was any interest in the BHS owning my uncle’s personal military effects. Uncle Floyd was a lifetime resident of Brookfield and spent his life on the family farm which straddles the Brookfield/Roxbury Town Line. He served in the Korean War and his name is on the memorial in Brookfield Center. He passed away in December 2010. We wish to do him honor by preserving the memory of his contribution to the military. Or, perhaps you know of another organization or resource that would be interested in the memorobilia. I would provide a catalogue of items if interested. Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you.
We would be interested to know more about the items you have and how we could include them in our collection at the Marvin Newton House.
Thank you for thinking of us.

I have family portraits of Nathaniel and Lydia Wheatly and an
1828 sampler done by their daughter 10 year old Lydia Ann Wheatly.
Would these items be of interest to the historical society?
Mr. Hoffman, I tried to send an email this morning letting you know we are interested in your items. It did not go through, but I will try again.

Dear Mr. Hoffman,
Thank you for your message. From what you have said about Wheatley family items in your possession we would be very interested in learning more. These are the type of items that the Society is interested in acquiring. Are the portraits photographic images or some other medium? The sampler is clearly of interest.
