Free Ice Cream Social & “Old Time” Music

Celebrate high summer at the historic Marvin Newton House on the Ridge Road in Brookfield on Sunday, August 16th, 2-4:00 pm.  The Brookfield Historical Society offers ice cream and gourmet cookies accompanied by lively traditional music performed by the Bear Mountain Jammers, a local music group that has delighted audiences throughout the Northeast since 1978.  Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the Federal Period Newton House and view its exhibits, including a new presentation featuring mannequins dressed in period costumes ranging from the mid-19th  to mid-20th centuries.  FREE/donations accepted.

For more information about the Bear Mountain Jammers, see the August 6, 2015, issue of The Herald of Randolph or read online.
